What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Team Leader position at KBX?
Your Job As and Accounts Payable Team Leader you will provide leadership and direction for the KBX Accounts Payable data entry team.
Additionally, you will assist with the execution of key initiatives and strategies that are aligned with and will advance the overall KBX vision, while also growing and developing the talent, capability, and resources required to meet current and future business and customer needs. Our Team This role is part of the accounting division and will primarily partner with the data entry team facilitating invoice entry for various AP workstreams related to freight and non-freight activity.
This role will also collaborate with other workstream teams and divisions while advancing transformative change within the organization. What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a highly valued, knowledgeable, and capable team by providing regular feedback to ensure team growth and improvement
- Maintain a solution-focused attitude and encourage brainstorming and collaboration during adversity
- Evaluate and distribute workload based on team members' comparative advantages
- Champion change by encouraging experimentation, team participation in transformation initiatives and challenging the status quo
- Maintain and build mutual respect in partnerships with other business groups and vendors through clear communication
- Facilitating and responsibility of data entry for the asset management group within KBX
- Collaborate with service and documentation teams for timely invoice approval and processing
- Ensure invoice accuracy regarding line items, charge codes, and vendor details
- Provide customer service with timely payment updates and stakeholder communication
- Monitor and route emails in shared mailboxes for timely invoice processing and escalate issues as needed
- Compile data for financial reports and provide accrual information to accounting
- Research and resolve disputed invoices, ensuring proper turnaround and productivity monitoring through Power BI reports Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience leading an accounts payable or accounts receivable team
- Experience using Excel
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally across multiple teams and the organization
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and providing professional feedback and development to direct reports What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
- Experience using PowerBI or similar reporting tools for data analysis
- Experience creating KPIs and SLAs for teams to adhere to
- Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry
