We are seeking passionate and motivated interns to join our team at KC Current. This internship program provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to impactful projects, and gain valuable skills to build a successful career. This internship is a 6-month full time commitment which includes working match days and non-match days.

Who are we hiring?

The KC Current is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Data Strategy & Analytics Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of data analytics and contribute to real-world projects that drive business insights and decision-making.

What will you do?

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Support the development and implementation of documentation surrounding data analytics models and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and execute data-driven experiments and tests.
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from different departments within the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Time Management and Prioritization: Balancing multiple tasks and deadlines is a common challenge in data analytics projects. You should be able to manage their time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Data analytics projects often require collaboration with cross-functional teams. You should be able to work collaboratively with team members, actively participate in discussions, and contribute ideas to achieve common goals.

Special Requirements Of The Job

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
  • Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time sensitive matters with senior executives.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and problem-solve.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Azure, Data Factory, Logic Apps.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • PowerBI Preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
