Who are we hiring?
The KC Current is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as an Information Technology Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Information Technology and contribute to real-world projects that drive business insights and decision-making.
What will you do?
- Create Information Technology knowledgebase articles.
- Create documentation of the existing Information Technology infrastructure, including architecture diagrams and maps of deployed technologies and cabling.
- Maintain current records in the Information Technology inventory tracking system.
- Enhance the asset tagging and tracking processes.
- Create process documentation and instructions. Assist with process improvement initiatives and projects.
- Assist with information technology and information security Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
- Create information technology and information security training materials and processes.
- Research new technologies or how to incorporate non-sports technologies into the Kansas City Current processes, especially to enable more efficient sports and business operations.
- Assist with deploying and removing digital signage equipment and information technology in the stadium and training facility.
- Maintain the organization of information technology rooms.
- Assist with information technology troubleshooting.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Autopilot, Cisco networks, virtual machines, firewalls, virtual LANS, or other network infrastructure and administrative technologies.
- Familiarity with audio, video, and related technologies used in stadiums, entertainment venues, or online streaming.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time sensitive matters with senior executives.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Currently pursuing a degree in information technology, information security, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and problem-solve.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
