This internship is a part time, season long commitment which includes working match days and non-match days.
Who are we hiring?
The KC Current is seeking a Venue Operations Intern. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world professional sports experience and contribute to the operations of a major sports venue. The intern will work closely alongside our Event Operations , Guest Services , and Security teams to ensure seamless execution of game days and special events. This position is ideal for a passionate individual looking to learn about the behind-the-scenes aspects of managing a major sports venue. From coordinating event logistics to assisting with crowd management and enhancing the fan experience, the Venue Operations Intern will play a key role in delivering memorable experiences for fans, teams, and guests.
What will you do?
- Assisting with Event Setup and Breakdown : Supporting pre- and post-game operations, including setting up seating, banners, concessions, and other venue-specific preparations.
- Coordinating with departments : Collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth event day operations, including assisting with staff scheduling and communication.
- Fan Experience : Helping with guest services to ensure fans have a positive, engaging experience at the stadium, from entry to post-game.
- Security and Safety Support : Assisting the security team in crowd control and ensuring safety protocols are followed during events.
- Event Logistics : Helping manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of supplies, and assisting with any unexpected event-day issues.
- Other duties as assigned
