We are seeking a dedicated Transport Driver to join our team. The Transport Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers—particularly those with mobility challenges or medical needs—between their homes and healthcare appointments. This role requires someone to be capable of pushing and pulling any size person in wheelchairs covering inclines, declines, and thresholds.

Duties
- Drive a company wheelchair van, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Provide safe and timely transportation services to passengers, including those with special needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, their caregivers, and healthcare facilities to ensure a smooth transport experience.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed, including operating wheelchair lifts and securing mobility devices.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when required, including assisting passengers with their personal belongings.
- Complete necessary documentation, such as trip logs and incident reports.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to transport safety and passenger care.
Skills and Requirements
- Must be above the age of 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a Background Check, MVR, and Drug Screen
- Must be able to pass a CPR and Safe Driver course post hire
- Experience in Paratransit, shuttle driving, bus driving, or similar roles is preferred.
- Ability to drive and operate different types of vehicles, particularly those equipped for wheelchair accessibility.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on compassion and empathy for passengers with diverse needs.
- Proficient in communication with passengers and team members, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of first aid is beneficial.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
