Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting principles and procedures for accurate financial statements.
- Supervise Fiscal staff in the absence of the VP of Business and Finance.
- Manage general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and manage accounting software systems.
- Collaborate with department managers to achieve overall goals.
- Improve department procedures and resource use for accuracy and efficiency.
- Advise on non-routine reporting transactions and respond to financial inquiries.
- Assist with year-end audits and implement new departmental procedures.
- Handle billing, vouchers, payments, and provide staff training.
- Support daily accounting functions, including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
