High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Supervisory experience is a plus. Troubleshooting/repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and air logic breakdowns of equipment and facilities experience required.
Physical Demands
The position requires employees to alternate from a sitting position to a standing position frequently. Repetitive motion required. Lifting, bending, twisting, and turning are required.
Maybe required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential duties.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but occasionally loud. Use of Personal Protective Equipment such as vinyl or latex gloves is occasionally required.

Essential Duties
- Responsible for reporting to the Floor Supervisor what production supplies are needed to meet production demands. Notify Production Manager and Supervisor of material deficiencies that will affect production output.
- Organize and schedule time studies for all Plant operations with the Production Manager.
- Responsible for assigning employees in designated area to meet the production demands and reporting to the Floor Supervisor any possible delays in meeting shipping schedules.
- Responsible for set-ups, adjustments, and tools to machinery in assigned work area. All equipment repairs needed are to be reported immediately to the Production Manager. All tools are to be returned to their holding area at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area in compliance with OSHA requirements and Plant 1’s safety committee’s regulations.
- Understand and follow quality control standards and insure employees are following through with first piece inspection with Quality Control that all jobs are set up accurately. Monitor quality to insure product being run is of acceptable quality at all times on all projects according to ISO procedures.
- Maintain production levels (as per set norms) by setting goals for employees in designated area and report progress, non-progress and/or problems with employees to the Floor Supervisor. Unusual variances in productivity levels should be brought to the attention of the Floor Supervisor.
- Discuss any issues with employees in assigned work area at monthly safety meeting.
- Inform the Floor Supervisor daily of any production problems that will affect shipment of production and/or next department.
- Responsible for scrap monitoring and Lot tracking in assigned work area. Notifying to your supervisor when you are starting on a different Lot of material.
- Responsible to see that all accidents and accident reports are processed in a timely manner to the Floor Supervisor. If the Supervisor is not available notify the Production Manager immediately.
- Training and supervising Production Workers and Utility Workers on tasks in assigned work area.
- Cross-training and training other Assistant Supervisors on all designated Assistant Supervisor areas processes.
- Count verifications on in-process products before moving to next step in process.
- Material handling to arrange material so latest date is being processed in order.
- When not performing indirect tasks, personal productivity expectation is 85% of established norm with 100% quality.
- All other duties as deemed necessary.
- Additional hours if needed are mandatory.
