Performs installation, maintenance, trouble-shooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and plant facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Will need to work up to with training and be able to perform the following.
- Performs maintenance tasks and repairs on our equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery and as required by production demands for service.
- Ensures plant safety equipment is ready to meet requirements and is properly maintained and inspected as required by the plant engineer or safety officer. This would include fire safety equipment, lifting devices, man savers, jib crane, davit crane and environmental monitoring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, welding symbols and work with voltages up to 575V.
- Responsible for the installation and relocation of plant equipment. This includes installation of required electric, gas, and water as applicable. May require moderate to complex fabrication ability
- Work Safely and maintain personal protection equipment and assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- They will need to start out by keeping up with PM schedules for all equipment, including the rooftop A/C units and ceiling-mounted air handlers.
- Adhere to Lock out/Tag out procedures on all equipment.
- Record keeping for all plant machines and equipment downtime as required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
- May be required to operate motorized equipment such as fork trucks or personnel lifting equipment as necessary to accomplish maintenance tasks.
- We fabricate tools and equipment to support production.
- We are also responsible for snow removal and spreading ice melt in designated areas.
- There will be times we have to work overtime on Saturdays and sometimes even Sundays.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements as they pertain to the industrial use of maintenance equipment and chemicals (cleaners & lubricants).
- Working knowledge of Electrical Safety, use of maintenance equipment and tools.
If you have the following Certifications, they must be maintained: Technical degree or Certification (s) in Electronics Technology, Electrical Certification (Journeyman, Master, or Contractor), Industrial Maintenance Technology
Required:
- Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatic, and Hydraulic Trouble-shooting ability.
- An in-depth knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques and programs
- Ability to use measurement devices such as: multimeters, tap measures, calipers, amp meters, etc
- Fabrication and welding skills is a plus.
- Work Safely and maintain personal protection equipment and assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements as they pertain to the industrial use of maintenance equipment and chemicals (cleaners & lubricants).
- Adhere to Lock out/Tag out procedures on all equipment.
- Ensures plant safety equipment is ready to meet requirements and is properly maintained and inspected as required by the plant engineer or safety officer. This would include fire safety equipment,
- lifting devices, man savers, jib crane, davit crane and environmental monitoring equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires bending, stooping and standing.
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend the time period.)
- Good visual and spatial perception.
- Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.
