Summary:
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have some experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Experience picking parts using scanner and packing parts for shipment required. DOT medical exam required to drive company vehicles.
Essential Functions:
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Reviews sales orders, picks part(s) and packages them for shipment.
- Reviews documentation prior to packing to ensure corrected part has been picked.
- Organize materials in the warehouse and in the lot to make parts picking and counting easier.
- Performs inventory cycle counts when requested.
- Assists with Year End Inventory tasks as needed.
- Disposes of obsolete or damaged parts as assigned.
- Safely uses the company vehicle to pick up purchased parts when requested.
- Safely operates various pieces of warehouse equipment (Forklifts etc.)
- Actively participate as a member of the team to move the team towards completion of goals.
- Takes the initiative to find, identify and propose changes to processes not working well.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Proficient understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively.
- Possess a strong team spirit.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Capable of lifting/moving boxes weighing 50 lbs or less
- Must pass background check and drug test
- DOT medical exam required to operate company vehicles
Safety/Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires bending, stooping, and standing.
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.)
- Good visual and spatial perception.
- Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.
