Job summary
KCG is looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team out of our Montville, NJ office. This role will report to KCG’s president and will be critical to providing senior leadership with timely financial information and partnering on key projects to grow the business. The role will be primarily centered on day to day management of billing and payable processes with broad exposure to KCG’s accounting processes as well operational components. KCG is growing rapidly and as such, candidates must convey a team-centric focus and demonstrate an ability to effectively collaborate and adapt to a rapidly changing structure & environment. This position will provide an opportunity for accelerated expansion of responsibilities based on the demonstrated capacity of the candidate over time.
Essential functions
Essential Functions: Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Primarily responsible for issuance of invoices, sending of invoices to client (e-mail / mail), review & control of prevailing wage certifications
- Assist in the collection of receivables (e.g., sending monthly statements, following up with customers in situations of non-adherence to payment terms)
- Primarily responsible for Maintaining accounts payable records, ensure timely payment of invoices, and gathering appropriate approval signatures
- Maintenance of KCG’s client data in SAGE INTACCT accounting software. Candidate will be required to extract relevant business information to inform operational decision making
- Assist in the development and maintenance of KCG’s finance and accounting procedures
- Partial responsibility for booking accounting entries & performing the GL Reconciliations monthly
- Use Microsoft Excel efficiently as a financial reporting and tracking tool with an ability to effectively apply all mainstream formulas & operations
- Assist in preparation of the monthly rolling forward-look forecasts that provide robust visibility of future performance
- Assist in the management of cash flow of the business
- Lead on value-adding initiatives (e.g. system enhancements, company training, KPI development)
- Ability and willingness to be hands on and help out on tasks that may not be within the remit of the job – e.g. helping with bid submissions, assisting the service manager in job preparation, etc.
- Manage part time associate(s) / remote teammates to ensure data entry is done in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications
- BS degree in a Finance / Accounting field, and knowledge of US GAAP & Revenue Recognition Principles, with 5 years of experience, or a MS in Finance / Accounting / CPA and 3 years of experience
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic general ledger entries, accruals, and depreciation

Working conditions
The role will be primarily based in our Montville office; however, remote work will be permitted 2-3 days per week once the initial training period is complete. Additionally, work from anywhere will be allowed for up to 2 weeks at any point in the year.

Salary : $85,000
