We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee safety operations across various job sites. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing workplace risks, and fostering a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with employees at multiple locations to maintain compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and other safety regulations.
- Develop and implement effective site-specific environmental health and safety plans for 4 companies including demolition, mold, lead asbestos, and metal recycling facility.
- Manage and facilitate safety training programs and orientations.
- Conduct equipment inspections and ensure adherence to Lockout/Tag-Out, Hot Work Permits, and other safety protocols.
- Oversee environmental compliance with all company, local, state, and federal requirements including air quality, storm water, SPCC, Hazardous Waste and Asbestos and Lead.
- Maintain and update injury records, safety documentation, and compliance reports.
- Monitor workplace safety practices to prevent injuries and minimize penalties.
- Engage with various regulatory agencies and adapt to diverse employee needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in safety management within the construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations (certification required).
- Experience with mold, lead, and/or asbestos a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to safety challenges.
- Demonstrated success in developing and enforcing safety programs.
