LTL & Air Freight Operations Specialist at KCH Transportation
KCH Transportation is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our Operations team as an LTL & Air Freight Operations Specialist. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing LTL and Air Freight shipments for timely delivery, resolving transportation issues, and optimizing routes for efficiency and cost savings.
- This is an in office position and individuals must be located in Chattanooga or Nashville, TN to be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Serve as an intermediary between LTL & Air Freight carriers and internal stakeholders by facilitating shipment bookings, procuring carriers and their pricing, managing adjustments post shipment delivery, and performing other crucial operational duties.
Act as the point of contact for carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of logistics operations.
Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures, and assists with implementation of delivery changes.
Interprets, trains, and consistently enforces company policies and procedures.
Shipment track and tracing
Ensure accurate and timely data entry in TMS
Candidates must have :
HS Diploma / GED. Associate degree preferred
Experience in managing LTL and Air Freight operations preferred
Proficiency in transportation management systems
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
