Purpose: The purpose of the Project Engineer Internship is to provide valuable exposure and experience in the construction industry and to KCI’s culture. The Project Engineer Intern will have the ability to apply coursework through work experiences.

- Assist in the preparation and coordination of submittals.
- Maintain submittal log and timely receipt and review of submittals and shop drawings.
- Maintain RFI logs and assist with timely response to project questions.
- Assists in preparing project status reports and attend project status meetings; assists in development of meeting minutes.
- Assists with updating the project schedule.
- Assist with project-close out activities.
- Develops warranty/O&M manuals, as directed.
- Assists with any estimating activities, as assigned.
- Attend weekly progress meetings.
- Performs additional assignments as directed.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited institution earning a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree is preferred.
- At least one internship in construction/engineering preferred, but not required.
- A high degree of integrity.
- Display a positive and can-do attitude.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- A self-starter, team player and the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
