What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Intern position at KCI Construction?
Purpose: The Warehouse Intern will assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, yard, and equipment. This role provides hands-on experience in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations while supporting warehouse staff in daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with filling, loading, and delivering tools and materials to job sites
- Helping secure and move small construction equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining tools, trucks, and equipment as needed
- Organizing inventory and ensuring proper storage of materials
- Supporting warehouse and yard staff in daily operations
Qualifications/Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and company procedures
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Previous experience in a warehouse or construction environment is a plus but not required

Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in a warehouse, yard, or outdoor setting with varying weather conditions
- Exposure to loud environments at times
- Requires standing, walking, kneeling, crawling, climbing, stooping, and bending
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. periodically
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
