Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI Technologies is seeking an experienced Site/Civil Engineer with experience in land development engineering design, regulatory/permitting process, and project management.
- Responsible for managing a team of engineers, landscape architects, and designers to develop civil engineering designs for both public and private sector clients, including commercial, mixed-use retail, office, and more.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from the preliminary design visit and conceptual plans to zoning/planning coordination, permit documentation, and construction level design plans.
- Partner with the Practice Leader to expand our workload by building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients.
- Other responsibilities include preparing project reports and submittals, completing site visits as necessary, and working with the Project Assistant on project setup, billing, and closeout
- Responsible for creating accurate fee proposals, overseeing the project team, and ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budge
- As a mentor and trainer, you will also be responsible for training and guiding staff to ensure project success.
- Performing fieldwork to gather existing conditions information and perform construction inspections as required
- PE License is required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 - 12 years of professional experience.
- Appropriate professional certification preferred.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
