Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI Technologies has an immediate opening for a Practice Leader to build and manage the ITS and Traffic Practice in Florida. Preference will be given to candidates in the Tampa, Orlando and South Florida markets.
The Practice Leader will be responsible for the following :
- Marketing / Business Development - build backlog by pursing and winning new projects for the Transportation Practice
- Identify target clients and opportunities that best position KCI to expand our presence in the Florida market and build backlog with FDOT, municipal clients and others.
- Meet with and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to position KCI for future work
- Lead the effort to market and position the firm strategically to capture opportunities
- Lead teaming efforts and lead proposal development
- Provide Leadership, Mentorship, and Professional Development guidance to staff
- Take an active role in recruitment and development of new staff
- Project Management / Engineering – serve as a Project Manager for studies or design projects
- Serve as a PM or Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop studies, plans, specifications and estimates
- Develop scope, schedule and fees for NEPA and Traffic studies and design projects
- Provide independent QA / QC on projects
- Prepare and manage Traffic operating budget and monthly project reviews in the Traffic Practice support of the Florida region objectives
- Work closely with other KCI Disciplines to market / cross-sell / work-share / perform work.
