What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Shift Mechanical Millwright position at KCM Technical?
Mechanical Technician
The ideal candidate should be willing to relocate or currently reside in specific areas.
This project will take place at client ZF's site in Gray Court, SC, with training in Mindelheim, Germany for approximately one year.
Expect 6 weeks of training in Germany and 1 week at home per cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support installations and service calls exclusively at client customer sites.
- Assemble and start-up new CNC machines according to client specifications.
- Assemble and start-up assembly equipment.
- Read and follow mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints/drawings.
- Respond to emergency calls from customers in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an in-depth knowledge of metric prints.
- Understanding of assembly technology and/or metal cutting principles.
- Previous CNC machining or machine building experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with assembly equipment and robotic cells is also preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Able to travel on short notice approximately 70% of the calendar year as required for business needs.
- Per Diem and/or company vehicle provided based on client customer region being serviced.
- Travel cycles are calculated based on distance from employee's home address to the client's customer site being serviced.
