Location: approximately 5 miles outside of Montpelier, VT
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and images.
- Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
- Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Guides the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
- Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Responsible for the successful attainment of production objectives, implementation of policies, and most effective utilization of available resources and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing, environmental, safety, and working conditions.
- Ensures effective communication between shifts and other departments by ensuring established communication methods regarding company performance and safety.
- Assist in designing, improving, and installing equipment and systems to improve plant efficiency and meet plant needs.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 5 years’ experience in operations management.
- 5 years’ experience in a high-volume food/beverage production and/or manufacturing environment.
- Operations management responsibility in a 24/7 operation.
- Budgeting and planning experience required.
- Must have managed other operational functions such as projects, processing, and packaging.
- Experience in building functional teams.
- Experience with filling, and packaging.
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
