Position Overview : The VP, TV Scripted is responsible for developing projects from existing and future scripted IP, as well as sourcing and developing original projects for new broadcast, cable and streaming networks targeting both US and global audiences.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development phases from original pitch to execution, providing notes in line with the vision of the project.
- Hear and respond to pitches; evaluate new project submissions to assess their value as it relates to the creative direction.
- Guide creators from the pitch stage through outline, script, production and post; formulate and draft notes on scripts and cuts.
- Manage projects in development, support material, pitches, talent and scripts that might be of relevance to the Company.
- Create and maintain active relationships within the creative community – agents, writers, producers, talent, etc.
- Track down competitive IP outside the CJ library.
- Build and enhance relationships with the creative community and agents among a wide range of creative disciplines.
