Job Summary
- Hazard Community & Technical College is seeking applicants for Student Financial Liaison position. This position serves as a liaison for dual credit students between student affairs, the scholarship office and the business office to provide scholarship information. NOTE: This position is grant funded. Initial review will begin January 6, 2025.
Job Duties:
- Travels to schools, and recruitment events to inform and advise potential students on scholarship opportunities available and steps for correctly completing all scholarship applications.
Work directly with currently enrolled students applying for scholarships.
Participate in career fairs and other outreach activities to promote the scholarship program
Handles communications with scholarship applications and awardees, including sending award notifications, acceptance, and student thank-you notes to donors. Will also ensure that students reply for continued scholarships
Work in conjunction with the Dean of Advancement to update and maintain Academic Works including managing the appropriate, timely opening, closing, and archiving of application periods. Review and monitor scholarship students' eligibility and progress.
Help students with FAFSA issues and concerns and connect them to HCTC’s financial aid office as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA 1 year or equivalent
