Job Summary
Develop professional relationships with BCTC internal colleagues, principals, advisors, and University of Kentucky partners/
instructors and foster positive, trusting relationships with high school students to enhance their academic success. Collaborate
and organize annual Summer Healthcare Success Academies, working with participants to achieve their educational and
healthcare career goals.
Job Duties:
1. Collaborate with Admissions, Allied Health, and Nursing colleagues to fully understand the programs, benefits, eligibility and BCTC application process.
2. Conduct one-on-one check-in's with students to discuss academic, personal goals (Individualized Success/Learning Plans), and how to navigate
challenges.
3. Tutors: Recruit, hire and manage four (4) tutors, ensuring that students are utilizing resources and that tutors are documenting sessions.
4. Quarterly reporting for U.S. Department of Labor compliance
5. Participate in recruiting high school students in Healthcare fields, highlighting the Summer Healthcare Academy as an excellent opportunity.
6. Serve as an Academy leader at Summer Healthcare Success Academy (the first two-weeks of June).
7. Foster a growth and resilience mindset in students through motivational strategies and challenges.
8. Any other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling or psychology, plus four years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in education, counseling or psychology, plus three years of experience.
