Job Summary
The primary purpose of the part-time Tutor – English/Writing is to coordinate the learning center or lab to provide English/Writing tutoring and computer technical support.
Job Duties:
- Tutor students in English/Writing in labs.
- Provide students with supplemental assistance in Writing and English.
- Attend courses, seminars or workshops to update skills and knowledge as new technology is developed.
- Assist in maintaining administrative records and statistics for lab usage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree (related field), and two years of experience or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adjust tutoring methods based on individual student needs.
- Ability to work with students at different learning paces and provide support as needed.
- Ability to encourage students to actively participate and reach their learning goals.
