Acts as a primary assistant to the Associate Dean of Financial Aid and Financial Aid Director. Primary contact for the Federal Direct Student Loan Program, Schell Loan Program and Alternative Loan Program. Also, primary contact for consortium agreements related to processing and awarding federal and state aid programs.
Job Duties
- Manage Student Loan Program to include Federal Direct Student Loans and Private / Alternative Educational Loans Running and working weekly loan processing and disbursement reports. Updating NSLDS and COD system. Work with the Development Office on processing Schell Loan.
- Develop and maintain entrance and exit counseling workshops. Assist with default management.
- Manage and process host institution and visiting institution consortium agreements.
- Performs financial aid verification, disbursement, authorization, directs loan processing, counseling, and reporting requirements. Resolve individual student issues and conflicts from the KCTCS Student Service Center and/or Starfish. Use individual dissection to implement resolution.
- Use professional knowledge to determine eligibility for professional judgments, EFC and budget recalculations, and Unusual Enrollment History Appeals.
- Conduct financial aid / scholarship presentations at workshops, orientation, high school workshops, and other community organizations/events.
- Attending Professional Development and Financial Aid conferences and training. Serve on college committees. Active participation in state financial aid association.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Student Success and Associate Dean of Financial Aid.
