The Financial Specialist IV position provides support to the Manager IV-Financial Operations in administering two crucial programs in support of firefighters across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Job Duties
Administer the Stress Injury program for active and retired fire fighters. Communicate with firefighters across the state, reviewing applications and accompanying documentation for eligibility and processing reimbursements.
Administer a program to reimburse firefighters for expenses associated with screening for cancer for eligible full-time, volunteer and retired firefighters. Communicate with firefighters across the state, review applications and accompanying documentation for eligibility and processing reimbursements.
Serve as backup to other positions in the Financial Operations area.
Other Duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent 5 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3 years’ experience
Additional Skills Requested
Must have demonstrated experience working with financial data, excellent communication, analytical and record keeping skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
