This is a full-time, lecturer appointment in the Mathematics and Statistics Division. The position requires flexibility of scheduling and includes online and in person instruction at BCTC Newtown campus and occasional non-standard locations in Lexington, Georgetown, and Frankfort.
Job Duties
This position will be responsible for teaching 36 credit hours annually. This includes creation, update, and delivery of course content, utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback, curriculum development, course design, and student outcome assessment. The position may require some non-standard start and end dates and teaching at locations in Lexington, Georgetown, and Frankfort.
Additional requirements are regular availability for students through office hours and any college/system required trainings.

Minimum Qualifications
Mathematics Lecturer:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, OR
- Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
- Master’s degree in Statistics, OR
- Master’s degree in Mathematics with at least 9 graduate hours in Statistics, OR
- Master’s degree in a related field with at least 9 graduate hours in Statistics and 9 additional graduate hours in either Mathematics or Statistics (18 graduate hours total)
- Statistics instruction qualified
- At least two years of teaching experience with both face-to-face and online formats
- Experience with Blackboard, Stat Crunch, and other instructional technology
