Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a Maintenance Worker at our Pikeville campus to perform duties such as maintaining landscaping, grounds and cleanliness of campus, assisting with routine building maintenance, and maintaining related landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Position based at our Pikeville Campus.
Job Duties
- Maintains grounds to insure the proper time to care for and water plants.
- Reseeding all landscape and grounds as needed.
- Planting grass, trees, shrubs and flowers as needed.
- Maintains related landscaping, grounds and maintenance equipment.
- Mows, weed-eats/edges, and removes snow utilizing mowing machines and other equipment.
- Order and pick up supplies as needed.
- Perform room set-up for events, assembles and deliver furniture, and move and/or haul equipment/furniture as needed.
- Serves as backup for custodial work as needed such as cleaning, disinfecting, floor maintenance, and trash disposal.
- Assists with routine maintenance on campus.
- May have to travel to assist at other campuses as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
