This position will be responsible for full-time instruction in Mathematics. General responsibilities include teaching courses ranging from transitional/developmental mathematics through Calculus, maintaining office hours, engaging in student success and retention activities, and utilizing an online course LMS such as Blackboard for instruction, communication, and feedback. Instructors may be expected to teach on multiple campuses for both day and evening courses, in a variety of delivery modes including fully in-person, fully online, and hybrid.
Job Duties
Other duties include but are not limited to:
Master’s Degree in Mathematics, or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate cr/hr in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience at the college level and online preferred, with an understanding of different teaching methodologies to address various learning styles. Completion of a Master’s level Statistics course preferred.
Additional Skills Requested
Ability to teach a broad range of mathematics content as stated in the description. Proficient use of technology and willingness to adapt when necessary. Efficient in explaining mathematical concepts and patience for students that struggle with the content.
