Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking an instructor for the Medical Information Technology program with the ability and desire to teach courses that provide instruction on the skills needed to prepare our students for a career in Medical Information Technology.
The assignment period is full-time for 10 months (August-May).
Job Duties
The faculty teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. The assignment may include evening and weekend hours, as well as teaching at all ECTC satellite campuses. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching and learning, working with diverse populations, and growing the College’s mission and vision.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a business related or medical/health care related field or an Associate’s degree in a Medical Information Technology related field and two years work experience in a related field such as physician office, hospital, skilled nursing facility, or third party billing company.
The Qualifying fields are: Medical Coding, Medical Billing, Medical Office Management, Medical Information Management, Medical Information Technology, or Health Information Technology. Medical Coding/Billing positions require a certification from national organizations.

Successful Candidates Should Demonstrate
Experience in a medical office within an outpatient facility, performing various administrative duties such as medical coding/billing, office management in a supervisory role would be a plus, maintaining electronic medical records, medical transcription/scribing, and front desk responsibilities.
