The Humanities Division at Jefferson Community and Technical College is looking for a full-time music instructor with an effective start date of August 1, 2025. The ideal candidate will teach a variety of music classes from Introduction to Music to Music Technology.
Job Duties
The candidate must have a working knowledge of piano playing and piano instruction. In addition to teaching music classes, the ideal candidate will advise, participate in committee work, external service, and professional development opportunities. The candidate will also function as the Department Head for the Music Department. This position might require teaching at satellite campuses.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach a variety of music courses, have a proficient knowledge of piano playing and instruction, and have educational leadership experience.
This position requires the supervision of two employees.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Music or a music related field prior to employment at JCTC.
Preferred Qualifications
A doctorate in Music
