The Kentucky Fire Commission is committed to enhancing safety and education within the fire service for the citizens and industries within the Commonwealth through standardized special and technical education, training, communication, coordination, and the distribution of funds to the agencies throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The Training Records and Compliance Specialist (Administrative Associate III) works with fire departments across the Commonwealth of Kentucky to ensure legal and financial compliance with Kentucky Fire Commission programs regarding fire fighter training, state aid purchases, instructor training, and financial records including grants. This position will also assist the Training and Compliance Investigator and the Director of Fire Commission Operations in investigating and otherwise resolving complaints concerning these programs. This position is based out of Paris, Kentucky, but the assignment location is the southwest portion of Kentucky, subject to departmental needs, staffing and caseload.
Job Duties
Review of fire department records concerning:
Other duties as assigned
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and 7 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience
