KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for a Survey Technician with 5 years' experience. The Survey Technician will work in conjunction with a Professional Land Surveyor to perform a wide variety of survey related tasks, including preparation of topographic, special purpose, ALTA/NSPS, and other surveys, as well as preparing construction stake-outs, using Civil 3D to prepare drawings and maps from field data collected by field technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with team and supervisor about workload and needs
- Construction stakeout computations for field crews using construction plan sets
- Prepare and check cutsheets for construction stakeout work
- Records research to prepare deed mosaics for boundary/ALTA jobs
- Process and interpret survey data collected in the field
- Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records
- Collaborate with planners, project managers and engineers regarding projects
- Communicate daily with field crews to provide direction and support for ongoing projects
- Perform QC/QA on different types of survey deliverables
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of survey experience
- MD drivers license
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be able to read cursive
Preferred Experience and Certifications:
- Associates Degree in a Survey Related Field and/or formal CAD training
- Certified Survey Technician Level I, II, or III
- Minimum of 5 years of survey related AutoCAD or Civil3D/Carlson experience
Education:
- High school diploma
Compensation:
- $31.00-$40.00/hour (equal to $64,480-$83,200 annually)
- Position eligible for overtime
- Position eligible for discretionary bonuses at the sole discretion of the company
