Position Summary:
K-Display, LLC is seeking a talented and technically skilled Maintenance Technician with Process Engineering experience to join our team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing production machinery used in metal fabrication, powder coating, and laser cutting processes. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical maintenance skills and process engineering expertise, enabling them to troubleshoot complex issues, improve equipment reliability, and enhance production efficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of production equipment, including press brake machines, laser cutting systems, powder coating ovens, punch presses, and conveyors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment uptime.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to optimize production processes, ensuring consistent quality, throughput, and efficiency in metal fabrication, powder coating, and laser cutting operations.
  • Analyze process data and identify opportunities for system optimization, contributing to the reduction of scrap, cycle times, and energy consumption.
  • Work with the engineering team to design and implement modifications to equipment or processes that improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new production equipment or upgraded systems.
  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, procedures, and troubleshooting reports.
  • Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department and across the production process.
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations during production shifts.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment involving metal fabrication, powder coating, or laser cutting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process control systems, including experience with CNC machinery, laser cutting technology, powder coating equipment, and automated material handling systems.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, and PLC-based control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on improving processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and management teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort in working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and potential hazards.
  • Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
