2nd & 3rd Shift - Forklift Driver - Warehouse

2nd Shift & 3rd Shift Openings ONLY. Must have sit-down and stand-up forklift experience.

General Description:

The Material Handler I is responsible for ensuring that all Work Order Pulling functions are completed accurately and on time. Activities will include the review of documentation for completeness to a company standard, transportation of all inbound work orders to the designated staging place on the production floor. Entering transactions via scanner and/or computer accurately and timely.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) at all times
• Responsible for the accurate pulling, checking, counting and final transfer of all outbound material against confirmed work orders or Production Department requirements.
• Verifies and reviews inbound or re-labeled material from the Production Department ensuring that returned material is properly identified and transferred into a warehouse location. 
• Assists in the maintenance of the product location system by ensuring all transactions are posted according to a company standard on the QAD system. 
• Actively supports and promotes a strict adherence to Warehouse and Inventory Control Department policy and procedures.
• Always operates forklift following proper safety rules. 
• Other duties or activities as assigned by Assembly Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  Capable of standing and walking for extended periods 
  
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Operate a forklift (all lifts)
• Be detail oriented and thorough.
• Good judgment and decision-making ability. 
• 1 year of experience in assembly pulling. 
• Strong skills in mathematics; adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and percentages
• Basic PC Knowledge.MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse management system are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of WMS and scanner operations
• Capable of standing or sitting for an extended period of time.  
• Must have the ability lift up to 40 lbs. routinely
  
  

Work Environment:

• Moderate to heavy traffic including forklifts
• Clean temperature-controlled, racked warehouse.
• Moderate noise from forklifts.
