General Information:
The Environmental, Safety and Health Specialist (EHS) will be responsible for supporting the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department with the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, federal, state, and local regulations.

This position is responsible for:
Provides outstanding customer service while building relationships at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Conducts investigations and root cause analysis, and communicates findings to the appropriate departments and/or leadership.
Develops and implements corrective/preventative actions that improve the safety and environmental conditions of the facility.
Assists in job hazard and environmental assessments, and participates in the development and implementation of improved processes and procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of industry and regulatory laws, guidelines, and practices.
Communicates and initiates improvements resulting from changing regulations.
Conducts, assigns and participates in health & safety audits, including the development of and drafting of audit documentation, tracking corrective actions, and monitoring of trends.
Maintains EHS databases, files and records. Modifies and implements compliance tracking programs and recordkeeping systems.
Assists Technical Trainers in the development of technical documents including EHS and Operational procedures, programs, job aides and training documents.
Develops and conducts training on environmental and safety programs, policies and procedures.
Provides routine reminders and training for site leaders on protocol and upward communication steps to be taken in the event of unannounced OSHA, EPA, Fire Department or other regulatory agency visit.
Supports the EHS manager in responding to emergency situations during or after hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Graduate/GED equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in environmental, health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
AAS in Environmental Technology or related field, preferred.
RCRA and Hazardous Waste Management Certification.
OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
40 Hour HAZWOPER.
