What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Technician-Aerofil position at kdc/one?
Essential Functions:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting with emphasis on electrical controls, instrumentation, and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programming
Perform electrical wiring, low voltage through 480 volt, 3-phase
Be responsible for programming, installing, and troubleshooting PLC and related control systems
Assist in the electrical evaluation and costing of proposed capital projects
Assist in the development of new methods of automation, troubleshoot existing equipment, develop schematics, electrical drawings and PLC programs for new equipment, and provide support during the installation, checkout and start-up of new equipment
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as established by maintenance program
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant manufacturing equipment and systems including high-speed packaging equipment, utility related equipment, fire protection and power distribution systems
Install, maintain and troubleshoot power distribution equipment systems
Install, maintain and troubleshoot aerosol and liquid packaging equipment, motor drives and associated control systems
Understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and interpret related engineering drawings
Team with engineering to develop electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for unique customer specifications and new business development
Identify and participate in improvement projects that support cost reduction initiatives and business expansion.
Preventive Maintenance program on control boards and distribution panels plant wide
Development and maintenance of electrical engineering schematics, project documentation and “as built” drawings for all electrical installations using computer aided software
Maintenance and backup documentation of all programs related to PLC equipment in the plant
Be on call to respond to emergency situations and provide electrical/electronic troubleshooting for Operations
Maintain knowledge of electrical code standards. Make changes as code requirements necessitate
Partner with IT department to ensure manufacturing equipment and instrumentation interface with corporate data systems and networks in an effective manner
Install conduit/wire for new equipment
Good attendance record (less than 3 absences)
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level

The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity with or without assistance such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
