Our Groveport site has an immediate opening for a skilled Engineering Project Coordinator who will assist the Director of Engineering in managing and delivering engineering projects that may involve supporting new product development, process improvement, and/or capital expenditures. This customer-facing role requires a strong background in project management and the capability to work cross-functionally with varying departments.
This position will be responsible for the following:
Capture & document detailed engineering project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
Creates project tracking tools & dashboards to maintain an accurate level of information on all site-related engineering projects, keeping all stakeholders up to date
Identify potential risks to project timelines and budgets and escalate as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, and Quality, to define project scopes, timelines, and technical specifications for site engineering projects
Gathers quotes for change parts from packaging engineers; prepares and submits tooling authorization forms to the New Projects Manager and maintains tooling authorization tracker.
Prepares and submits line trial quotes to New Projects Manager; updates and maintains finance tracker.
Provides engineering information needed to support on-time completion of Request for Quotes (RFQs); ensures data is accurate and timely.
Tracks and verifies componentry needed to complete any trials and report New Projects Manager any E&O trial materials that must be dispositioned.
Attend customer events related to any new project as requested by New Projects Manager and/or Director of Engineering
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Associates degree and/or or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree a minimum of 4 years of experience coordinating projects in a manufacturing settings is required.
Minimum of 3 years of previous project management experience.
