Description / Scope / Mission
The Human Resource Assistant will work with the site HR Director and other HR personnel and assist them with tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the HR department.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Assist with front reception duties as required.
Assist with compiling orientation packets and back up Recruiter for conducting orientations.
Assist with recruiting efforts as needed.
Assist with making Access cards for employees.
Create files for new hires.
Assist in maintaining the HRIS system and back up HR Coordinator.
Update ZNet for new hires and terminations.
File HR documents as needed.
Create TV monitor slide in the system.
Compose monthly birthday cards for employee birthday recognition and organize the monthly party; send card and gift as warranted, to employees who have life events, marriage, birth of baby, etc.
Assist in mailings for the HR department including newsletter to retirees.
Maintain Training Files.
Order lunches for guests and managers and set up and tear down.
Assist with monthly employee recognition programs and company activities.
Assist EHS Manager as needed.
Assist with other duties as directed by management.
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES:
Back up new hire orientations and recruiting.
Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience
Associate Degree in Human Resource management or business or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Some experience in the human resource field ideally in a manufacturing setting.
Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Proficient in computers, Excel, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED:
Desk calculator, copy machine, fax machine and printer up to 1/3 of the time.
Computer 2/3 and more of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED:
Moderate noise.
Work will be conducted in an office as well as a factory setting.
Safety glasses, hair net, sturdy work shoes when in factory areas.
