Position: Material PlannerDepartment: Supply Chain/PlanningReporting Structure: Reports to Planning and Purchasing ManagerReporting to this position: No direct reportsBASIC FUNCTION Schedule manufacturing operation to ensure availability of items under planners control with minimum negative impact on manufacturing. Coordinate and organize multiple activities as well as to recognize and consider business goals and act to positively impact them. RESPONSIBILITIES•Manages the development, modification, and implementation of production schedule.•Develops and modifies production schedule and coordinates all related supportactivities through the manufacturing, testing and approval process•Lead the daily Production meeting.•Identify risks to on time delivery, drive countermeasures, and communicate/escalaterisks and countermeasures to leadership.•Resolves conflicting priorities and manufacturing problems that may impact timelyproduct delivery to our customers.•Develop, communicate, and measure performance of firm manufacturing schedule.•Work with Production to assign resources by day, by shift.•Monitors, records, and report on the status of production activities•Lead root cause analysis of wins and losses.•Actively participate in continuous improvement of QCDISME.•Provide analysis to identify constraints and support long-term capacity planning.SKILLS:•Oral and written communication skills.•Ability to work independently.•Ability to interact with all levels in all departments.•Must have basic Math skills.•MS Office proficiency.•Project Management.•Ability to work independently, self-motivated.
