The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor supervises, organizes, directs, and measures all activities performed by the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure the highest levels of safety, service, quality, and productivity are achieved and will be ultimately be responsible for the all the tactical plans and activities that achieve the strategic direction set forth by the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Director of Quality and other applicable Senior Leadership.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in a science related field preferred. In lieu of degree, a minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
Minimum five years of supervisory/lead experience required.
Minimum three years in a Quality Assurance role preferred.
Prior experience with CAPA.
SAP experience preferred.

This position is responsible for:
Plans and manages the activities of the QA team to ensure production schedules are met within quality, safety, and operational standards.
Provides direction, expertise, and timely resolution to quality-related issues affecting production.
Participates and/or conducts investigations, including root cause analysis, related to quality deviations, and develops and executes corrective actions as required.
Participates in the internal quality audit program and assists in corrective action process to ensure audit results are improved.
Provides input to the strategic direction of the department and leads the tactical plans delivering results.
Identifies, leads, and drives continuous improvement opportunities and projects that enhance the quality standards and results set forth by the company and/or customer.
Direct and performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company’s quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices, including always maintaining a clean and orderly production area.
Follows, promotes, and enforces KDC’s safety and environmental policies, practices, and procedures.
Assists with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.
Contributes to the KDC University training plan and drives the execution of training to ensure all QA employees have received necessary training and are following all applicable SOP’s, Work Instructions, and GMP procedures.
Leads, assigns and manages the activities of the Quality Assurance team to ensure optimal results in safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Lead inspection of all incoming components using customer standards/blueprint, certified test equipment/tools, and ANSI/ASQC inspection standards.
Supports receiving incoming labels into SAP and performs inspection of labels using customer standards and scanning software
Trains, coaches and develop employees within the department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manage performance expectations and deliver feedback.
Completes employee performance reviews, preliminary budgetary information, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and other paperwork according to established company policy.
Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information, other sensitive and confidential information.
Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and work outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g. supporting off-shifts). Performs other related duties as required.
