Quality Process Specialist-Aerofil

Position Summary: To assist in leading the quality unit effectively by developing, implementing, and managing the highest level of quality expectations utilizing established standards and customer specifications from incoming inspection through finished good packaging. Essential Functions: Maintain equipment in all quality laboratories Write reports such as customer/consumer complaints, CAPA’s, customer-based process capability reports Ensure proper tools and equipment is available and calibrated for the quality department Keep all quality documents up-to-date and accurate Assist with internal and external quality audits Maintain a clean and orderly hold area Assist production and the Quality Control Technician(s) (QCT) in trouble shooting issues and develop corrective actions Assist in developing standard work for the department and recommend changes Conduct regular training sessions with all QCT Regular attendance per handbook policy Other duties as assigned by supervisor Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time Repetitive motion.  Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Visual/hearing ability sufficient to quickly analyze and comprehend written and verbal communication on all business documents Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity with or without assistance such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and determining the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned Able to lift 55 pounds occasionally, 25 - 50lbs. consistently Workplace Requirements: Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Know and follow Standard Work Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisor, and management Testing Requirements: Pass Basic Math Skills with a minimum score of 90% Pass Ramsay Combined Basic Skills with a minimum score of 70% Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience: Minimum of five (5) years quality experience required Additional Qualifications: Ability to work flexible hours as may be needed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to both internal and external customers Possess the ability to establish rapport with direct reports; must have proven ability with positive team building skills, leading by example
