Farmers Market Vendor

We’re looking for someone to join our team to sell at Farmers Markets and events in the Houston area. If you’re a team player, dependable, love meeting people, and taking initiative this job is for you. We make flavored Oils and vinegars and different derived olive products.

Must have sales experience. We’re looking for someone with reliable transport to travel to and from events. Preferably can fit a canopy, products, and table in the vehicle. This is a great opportunity to meet new people in the Houston area and get involved in the Farmers Market scene. Most Farmers Markets are on Saturdays and Sundays and some during the week. Schedule may be variable.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Selling Olive oils and vinegars and other products at Farmers Markets
• Interacting with customers
• Commute to Katy to collect canopy, table, and products to sell

HAVE TO BE OKAY WITH:

• Talking to customers
• Setting up canopy and table
• Transporting materials with you to farmers market site
• Being outdoors for 5 hours at a time (with shade and fan)
• Driving to pick up materials to complete job

Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in retail sales
- Ability to operate a cash register and POS system
- Basic math skills for transactions
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Prior experience in product demonstrations
- Organizational skills and time management capabilities
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques

- Upselling and sales experience would be beneficial

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Every weekend

Work Location: Depending on the week end the vendor will cover Friendswood, Kemah, Pearland area
