Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team at KDK Construction, LLC. This role will focus on managing financial transactions and compliance documents critical to our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Procore, with preferred experience in Trimble Pay, to ensure seamless integration of financial and project management data.
Key Responsibilities

Code Transactions: Accurately code all incoming transactions related to construction projects, ensuring precise allocation to job costs and general ledger accounts in QuickBooks and Procore.

Bill Management: Receive, review, and enter bills into QuickBooks, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and integrate relevant data with Procore for project tracking.

Track Compliance Documents: Maintain and track W9 forms and Certificates of Insurance (COI) for vendors and subcontractors within Procore, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

General Liability Audits: Complete general liability audits, providing accurate financial data and documentation as required.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and the accounting team to support efficient financial operations and reporting across QuickBooks, Procore, and potentially Trimble Pay platforms.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the construction industry.

Proven experience using QuickBooks (desktop or online) for bill entry and financial reporting.

Proven experience using Procore for financial tracking, compliance management, and project cost integration.

Preferred: Experience with Trimble Pay for payment processing and financial workflows.

Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles.

Experience managing W9s, COIs, and general liability audits.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
