Superintendent
KDK Construction is looking for a superintendent to join our team in St. George, UT. This position is responsible for directing our projects onsite while developing a relationship with our clients, consultants, subcontractors, etc. The superintendent is to oversee all activities of the project onsite including scheduling, compliance with project specifications and documents, staffing, safety, directing the subcontractors, and performing small construction tasks as needed to complete the project on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manager the day to day operations on the jobsite
- Ensure that the project it built in accordance with the contract documents and built on time
- Oversee, evaluate, and manage project risk
- Develops solutions to ensure issues never become problems
- Mitigate risk whenever possible
- Build strong relationships with the owner, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Complete project closeout requirements in accordance with contract documents
- Follow up and complete action items from project meetings
- Become familiar with safety requirements of the project and monitor compliance
- Self-perform work as necessary. Typically includes hanging doors, and misc. rough carpentry, etc
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years construction experience
- Must be a self-driven individual
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Good communication skills
- Have the ability to manager multiple subcontracts at once
