Maintenance Manager

Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organization s facilities, equipment, and machinery through planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position is primarily, yet not exclusively responsible and accountable for the following:
- Troubleshoots down equipment and determines the next step to make operational.
- Makes necessary repairs to minimize downtime of production equipment.
- Provides daily directions to maintenance staff to ensure they are addressing the facilities needs with priorities identified.
- Oversee outside vendor activities to ensure the maintenance task is completed satisfactorily and within budget.
- Establish & maintain preventative maintenance plan for all applicable equipment
- Maintaining equipment, vendor files & facility related service contracts
- Maintaining equipment inventories and asset documentation
- Effectively communicate operational updates, financial forecasts, pertinent equipment and property issues to the executive leadership.
- Ensuring compliance with existing zoning, building and environmental laws.
- Manage maintenance budgets
- Draft specifications, scope of work and source competitive bids for capital improvement projects.
- Overseeing a small maintenance staff
- Providing ongoing training and development of staff members
- Promoting Teamwork and Cooperation between all maintenance employees
- Establish & maintain a safe working environment (i.e. lockout tagout)
- Conducting Safety Meetings and adhere to all safety & 6S standards and procedures
- Completing required administrative duties, to include:
- Completing performance reviews
- Time and Attendance Administration
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management from a four-year college or university, or 3-5 years of maintenance or technical management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills required, to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings and schematics and abide to government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions ranging from executive leadership to frontline employees.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, managers and other employees in the organization.
Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions from both written and oral communications. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
