Title: Accounting/Finance Controller
Position Type: Full-time Permanent
Location: Staten Island, NY
Reports to: CFO with a dotted line to the COO
Compensation: Strong base salary plus bonus (Salary depends on experience)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance management, with a particular emphasis on distribution, wholesale, or supply chain industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
- Conduct financial analysis to guide business decisions and strategies.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate costing.
- Oversee inventory management and control processes.
Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years in a Controller position
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller in distribution, wholesale, or supply chain industries.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory management, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Background
- Experience using an ERP system to create reports (will help implement a new ERP system in the future).
- Experience/ability to set up an ERP and roll out its capabilities.
- Strong operations experience and ability to help create processes and structure.
- Experience in distribution, wholesale, or supply chain industries (Something with inventory and distribution)
Salary : $165,000 - $195,000
