The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a full time Proposal Writer for our Business Development (BD) team located in our Orlando, Florida office.
In this role, you will be required to act in a dynamic role responsible for critical / key support to the BD team for all proposal and market research efforts, by providing skilled writing support and efforts for the corporate proposal development process.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Works closely with BD Team Members, Capture / BD Managers, BD leadership, consultants, and operational team members as needed to complete proposal efforts.
- Supports the proposal writing within a structured proposal development process.
- Proposal writing duties will include but not be limited to the development, authoring, editing and revising of content for proposals across various scope / service / task areas, as well as market research efforts to include Requests for Information (RFI) / sources sought responses, white papers, and capability statements.
- As part of a team, reporting to the Solutions Development Manager, maintains duties in a support / lead role as required for : writing and editing; assigning / managing / soliciting inputs and content contributions from SMEs in field operations; collaborating with the proposal team to develop proposal response format and structure; working with Capture Manager, Proposal Manager and / or BD leadership to develop proposal outlines, capabilities matrices, past performance and proposal content; managing / collecting subcontractor past performance and writing assignments to develop and submit final proposal documents.
- Prepares and provides data calls to teaming partners related to capabilities statements, past performance, etc.
- Prepares and provides data calls to internal SME personnel and interviews internal SMEs and knowledge experts to gather knowledge and information to support proposals.
- Translates technical data into meaningful customer value propositions.
- Plays a key role in proposal and RFI response editing and formatting.
- Meets proposal and RFI writing milestones related to individual work assignments.
- Participates in formal team reviews in accordance with the Shipley proposal method (pink, red, gold and final).
- Participates in proposal kickoff meetings as required.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of a document library that includes historical proposal documents, corporate experience and accomplishments, tailored proposal and RFI content, etc.
- Maintains various trackers, spreadsheets, repositories of referenceable information.
- May attend conferences.
- Other duties as assigned.
