Construction Foreman

REQUIREMENTS:

Project Oversight:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators
• Ensure the proper execution of construction plans, specifications, and schedules
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the Superintendent on project status, delays, or changes
  
  

Safety Management:

• Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed
  
  

Resource Management:

• Allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project demands
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition and availability
• Minimize waste and manage site logistics to optimize productivity
  
  

Quality Control:

• Inspect work for compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Address and resolve any quality issues promptly
• Maintain detailed records of project progress and issues encountered
  
  

Leadership & Team Development:

• Train and mentor crew members to enhance skills and knowledge
• Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and problem-solving
• Evaluate crew performance and provide constructive feedback
• Must pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug screenings
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction (roads, bridges, earthwork, utilities, etc.)
• Proven track record in a supervisory or leadership role
• Must be able to effectively communicate
• Will be required to work in a team environment with fellow employee-owners
• Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
  
  

SKILLS:

• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and safety practices
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents
