What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Associate- Oil & Gas position at KEA?
We have an immediate opening for a Property Tax Associate whose primary role will be the valuation and negotiation of complex oil and gas properties. The role is based in Rockwall, TX- 10 miles east of Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate is a technical, team-oriented, personable individual that can work in an extremely fast-paced environment under deadlines. The right candidate will learn the overall property tax cycle and process, along with the valuation of commercial real estate and negotiation methods. We are a team first culture that involves leaning on the expertise around you, so any experience in this regard is helpful. A general understanding of tax or property tax is helpful but not required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or business
- 0-3 years of consulting experience preferably within either the finance and/or accounting industries
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong preference for providing financial analysis support in a consulting environment
- Understanding of basic finance concepts, including concepts related to the time value of money
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel a must
- Strong communication skills, with the proven ability to coherently express complex concepts, both orally and in writing
- Detail-oriented
- Deadline driven, high degree of energy and enthusiasm
- Willingness to make an effort to learn concepts
- Travel may be required
