Kearney County Health Services is seeking an experienced Director of Acute Care Technology to lead our electronic medical record (EMR) system implementation and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical informatics, EMR implementation, maintenance, and project management.
The Director of Acute Care Technology will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our EMR system, ensuring it meets the needs of our clinical departments and maintains regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating system updates as they relate to clinical departments, reviewing release notes, setting up with IT, and providing assistance to affected departments.
- Developing reports to enhance and improve the workflow of utilization review, quality improvement, and other departments as needed.
- Evaluating department policies and procedures relating to electronic records and taking proactive steps to ensure clinical documentation in electronic systems follows industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and previous experience in EMR implementation, maintenance, and project management. A Certification or Master's Degree in Clinical Informatics is preferred.
