Responsibilities:
The Director of Informatics at Kearney County Health Services will serve as the liaison between the hospital's clinical areas, information technology department, and the electronic medical record vendor (Cerner Community Works). This includes making recommendations regarding the needs and requirements for clinical applications in Acute and ambulatory healthcare settings.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical informatics, with experience in EMR implementation, maintenance, and project management. Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing, implementing, and monitoring SMART operational performance goals based on industry standards and best practices.
- Working with vendors and management to negotiate best value purchases and services.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in the field of Nursing and Healthcare Informatics.
A Bachelor's Degree is required, and a Certification or Master's Degree in Clinical Informatics is preferred.
